Assessment of Project Designs & MEL Strategies for WellSprings Advisors
In February 2015 on behalf of WellSprings Advisors (WSA) undertake assessment of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) frameworks and strategies of 15 secondary education grantees in East Africa. In particular review project proposals, baseline and annual reports of all the 15 secondary education grantees to assess the effectiveness of the MEL systems, indicators/progress markers and gaps to be addressed; establish progress each grantee is making in terms of results and learnings, challenges they are facing, how they are addressing these challenges; and examine systems grantees have put in place to facilitate learning and what they are learning from their interventions.
Baseline Survey for Christian Aid
In January 2015 we understook a baseline survey for the Addressing Gender Inequalities To Improve Sexual And Reproductive Health Outcomes Project of Christian Aid and Partners in six Sub-Counties of Narok County.

Between October & December 2014 we undertook mid-term review for ERIKS Kenya Country Programme implemented by Kenya Alliance for the Advancement of Children (KAACR), Nairobi, Woman Kind Kenya (Garissa), Food for the Hungry (Marsabit), New Life Mission and Nalala (Kajiado)
National Eye-Health Advocacy and Communication Implementation Plan
Between January and May 2014, we were contracted by Fred Hollows Foundation on behalf of the National Prevention of Blindness Working Group in Kenya to develop the National Eye-Health Advocacy and Communications Implementation Plan: 2014-2018 to advance the Group’s main goal of accelerating progress on eye-health and related goals.
Strategic Evaluation of Kenya Integrated Education Program (KIEP)
Between February and May 2014 we led a strategic evaluation for the Kenya Integrated Education Programme (KIEP). KIEP is a project supported by Sightsavers and implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education (MOE) and Kenya Society for the Blind (KSB).
End of Project Evaluation for Leonard Chesire Disability (LCD)
Between July and October 2013, CRI undertook an end of project evaluation for inclusive education programme (IEP) in Kenya and Botswana for Leonard Chesire Disability (LCD).
Documentation & Learning Study of Child Protection & Education Project
In July 2012, we led a Documentation and Learning Study of the Child Protection and Education Project (CPEP) being implemented by Faraja Trust in Morogoro Municipality, Tanzania; with support from International Childcare Trust and UBS Optimus Foundation.
Baseline study for Education & Protection of Children in Northern Uganda
Between February and May 2012, we undertook a baseline survey for a Comic Relief funded project in Kitgum, Nothern Uganda (titled ‘Education and Protection of Children and Young People’ (EPCYP) to assess the baseline conditions that were to inform project design and implementation. The project was to be implemented by Kitgum Concerned Women Association (KICWA) with support from International Childcare Trust (ICT).
Baseline study for Somali Youth Leaders Initiative (SYLI)
Between April and May, 2012, we undertook a baseline survey for a USAID funded project in Somaliland, Puntland and Galmudug regions of Somalia being implemented by Mercy Corps, along with consortium partners CARE International, Save the Children (SC), Somaliland National Youth Organization (SONYO), and Mudug Development Association Network (MUDAN).
End of project evaluation for EU funded education project in S.Sudan.
In February 2012, we undertook an end of project evaluation for Save the Children in South Sudan (SCiSS) for a two year project called, “Another Chance: Community Mobilisation for Children who have missed out on Education” in Leer, Bentiu and Rubkhona Counties in Unity State. The project was funded by the European Commission.
